Join the SCTWS Executive Board!

Are you or do you know of someone passionate about wildlife conservation and looking for a meaningful way to give back? The Saskatchewan Chapter of The Wildlife Society is seeking enthusiastic new Executive Board members to help us protect, preserve, and celebrate wildlife in Saskatchewan! The deadline to apply is November 14, 2026. The applicant/nominee must be an active member and in good standing with the SCTWS. Become a member.

Board Positions

President

Vice-president

Supervises the Executive Board
Plans and chairs all meetings
Develops meeting agendas
Acts as Chapter representative to TWS, CSTWS, etc.
Maintains email address in collaboration with the Communications Coordinator and Secretary
Submit Chapter Officers Report Form
Ensures the Book of Information is up to date
Submits Annual Report to TWS
Attends CSTWS conference calls
Delegate tasks to the Executive Board
Leads Conference and AGM planning
One of 3 members with signing authority

Vice-president

Assumes all duties of President when required
Supports the president in assigned roles
Promotes the chapter to current and potential members
Possibly one of 3 members with signing authority
Submits ISC corporate information annual report
Helps plan and execute the Conference and AGM

Secretary

Vice-president

Membership Coordinator

Takes, circulates, and posts meeting minutes
Checks emails for all inquiries
Maintains Google Drive organization
Possible one of 3 members with signing authority
Helps plan and execute the Conference and AGM

Membership Coordinator

Communications Coordinator

Membership Coordinator

Responsible for membership database upkeep and maintenance
Responsible for monitoring the email address for new membership submissions
Responsible for accessing the TWS membership database
Helps plan and execute the Conference and AGM

Treasurer

Communications Coordinator

Responsible for all financial reports and fields
Primary holder and upkeeper of the bank account and finances
Responsible for helping with tax reports to TWS
Responsible for providing financial information for the ISC annual report
One of the 3 members with signing authority
Receives and processes reimbursement claims
Receives and processes bank statements
Helps plan and execute the Conference and AGM

Communications Coordinator

Responsible for maintenance and updates of the SCTWS website
Creates and shares event advertisements
Responsible for maintenance and updates of social media platforms that are maintained by SCTWS (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
Helps plan and execute the Conference and AGM

Student Representative

Liaison between Chapter and student members
Liaison between CSTWS student-related groups
Reaches out to the U of S, U of R, and Saskatchewan Polytechnic in PA regarding membership and events, and provide SCTWS advertising posters
Helps plan and execute the Conference and AGM

Member-at-Large

Student Representative

Promotes the SCTWS
Helps plan and execute events (online or in person)
Helps plan and execute the Conference and AGM
Responsible for tasks assigned
